1st Grade: Nature's Myths
- What is the purpose of a myth?
- How do myths reflect the culture of ancient peoples?
- How can we create research questions to find information?
2nd Grade: Ends of the Earth
- How does Inuit life differ from ours? How are we the same?
- What adaptations do animals need to survive in the Arctic?
- How could we adapt an Arctic animal to survive in Johns Creek?
3rd Grade: Ancient Civilizations
- How did ancient civilizations use mythology to explain the world around them?
- How did ancient Rome & Greece structure their government? How does it compare to modern government?
4th Grade: Space
- Should we use our resources to explore space? Why or why not?
- What evidence is there to support or refute life on other planets?
- Based on the unique characteristics of the planets, what modifications would need to be made to a spacesuit and why?
5th Grade: Epidemic
- How are viruses and bacteria alike and different?
- Was Mary Mallon a victim or a villain?
- How can we use statistics to track the spread of epidemics and identify trends in data?
- How can we create a persuasive PSA to prevent the spread of dangerous diseases?
