The Rustler Express

Will James Middle School

Hello Rustler Families!

We hope you are ready to take on the week. We will be finalizing MAP testing make up sessions this week through our counseling department. Students will be called to the library if they need to finish a test (math, English, or Language Arts).

Please mark your calendars Parent Teacher Conferences which is on October 7th. We will have our parent teacher conferences virtual again this year within our building. We will provide you with more information as we finalize details.

                        • Please note, at this point in time, SD2 continues to not accept home COVID test results for several reasons- we have no way to confirm that the test was taken by the correct person in the family or that the test was done correctly and those tests results are not being reported to the state or tracked in any way.
                        • We continue to provide free rapid antigen COVID testing for BPS students, and BPS staff and their household members, at St. John’s United Laboratory, located at 502 N. 30th Street, Billings, (former downtown Gainans). Please make an appointment at covidtest.stjohnsunited.org and be prepared to show a BPS student or staff identification badge at your appointment.
                        • Indoor field trips, assemblies, open houses, dances, etc are on hold at this time. Outdoor field trips are still permissible.
                        • In the event we do need to close a classroom or the building, please remind your students to take their Chromebooks and any materials home every day. This allows students to be prepared if we need to close a classroom or the school.
