Eight ways residents can be prepared for something like this is,
Determine the hazards you could face
After you have identified the hazards, write a plan.
Get three ways to get warnings.
Do you have an out-of-state contact that all in your family know to call?
Keep an eye on the news especially if you are dealing with a earthquake, hurricane, tornado, a winter storm, a heat wave/heat storm.
Find a bag, in case your car becomes disabled and you need to walk, to hold all of the supplies.
Pack your supplies in a backpack for your car-pack and pack your supplies in a bucket for the house.
Consider supplies in the categories of clothing, food, shelter, and safety.
And those are eight ways you can be prepared for something like this.
Orlando’s history dates back to 1838 and the height of the Seminole Wars. The U.S. Army built Fort Gatlin south of the present day Orlando City limits to protect settlers from attacks by Indians. By 1840, a small community had grown up around a fort known as Jernigan, named after the Jernigan family, who had established the first permanent settlement in the area. Jernigan had a post office, established May 30th, 1850.The Town of Orlando was incorporated in 1875 with 85 inhabitants, 22 of whom were qualified voters. People were not sure on how clear they were about where the name Orlando came from. In 1960 the population was 394,899 and the population now 2013 is 2,134,411 so as you can see the population has increased by a lot. Orlando had changed a lot from when it was found and now. Some ways it has changed is when it was found there weren't a lot of homes or buildings and todays theres lots of homes and lots of buildings. Back then there wasn't any theme parks unlike today we have lots of theme parks.
Whether you’re a long-time resident or thinking about moving to Orlando, Orlando is always finding ways to make you feel safe, comfortable, and even make you feel you like your right at home. We find all kinds of ways to make our community a better place. Heres a list of some ways we try to improve our community
We put together groups and we do all kinds of activities
we have lots of housing communities
Were always planting and growing crops
we keep our community clean
And so much more.
We Have Sports such as
We have a Basketball team And is The Magics. We even have a game coming up.But anyways thats a little bit about our community and our residents.
The wildlife of Florida is rich and varied, yet most of us are familiar with only a dozen or so species: the "flagship" endangered species such as manatees and panthers; those, like raccoons and squirrels, that have adapted to urban environments; the frightening alligators and black bears; and those like the armadillo who can't seem to cross the road. Yet they are just a few of the many animal species found in Florida. My favorite animal is the anteater because one they eat ants and they are so cute and the really dont harm.
Some of these animals can harm us and our community and some can't harm us or our community. Some ways they can hurt us is by destroying our communities and they can even hurt us. And theres not many ways they can't harm us
Heres a list of some animals in Florida
Amphiumas, mudpuppies, newts, salamanders, sirens, frogs and toads
Birds of prey, songbirds, upland birds
Brushfoots, gossamer-wings, metalmarks, snouts, sulphurs, swallowtails, whites
Armadillos, bears, beavers, bobcats, deer, feral pigs, foxes, manatees, minks, moles, opossums, otters, panthers, pocket gophers, rabbits, raccoons, seals, shrews, skunks, squirrels, weasels (more to come!)

Thats a list of animals found in Florida
In Florida there are many cultures. A lot of that is hispanics, there is a big chunk of us in Florida. I'm half Dominican and Puerto Rican. I come from two different place that are very known and very common in florida as well as Orlando. How does spanish cultures and heritage influence Florida?
Well without Spanish culture and heritages Florida would not be anything like it is today. Many people in Florida speak Spanish and there are all kinds of Spanish items we use everyday and so many different Spanish people. I know that Puerto Rico isn't an amazing place but we do make an awesome bunch as well as the Dominican Republic. I love my culture very much thats what makes me and everyone else in this world.
