To our VG Community,
May is fulling in motion and our last month of school is upon us. There are so many event coming up, it is a bit hard to keep them all straight. I will continue to include all events in Juergens' Journals moving forward.
The Amazing Race is in full swing and students and families are truly enjoying finding Suzy Grande around downtown Danville!!! What an amazing way to support our local businesses and our incredible school. Thank you to all who are participating and enjoying themselves in the process.
Crossing the kids every morning is one of the best parts of my day! I start every day with the kids...wish them a good day and set the tone for our campus, something that brings me great joy!
Your principal,
:) Osi Juergens

Reinforcing Behavior Expectations
This week I spoke to some of our classes and role played what to do when others are being mean or disrespectful. Since students on campus missed 11 month of school on campus there are certain skills they may need guidance with. For those students who are back on campus and those who will be returning in 21/22 school year. Remote students can use this now too! I wanted to share this with all of you so you can help reinforce this at home. I also shared this with all our teachers today and they will be reinforcing this throughout the school day as well.
If we all use the same language we can help our students with some important social skills.
This goes along with our FIRST Code of Ethics: Hurt No One on the Inside or Outside, and gives students specific language that we can all use!
Thank you for helping reinforce this!
1. If someone says something to you that bothers you or is not nice:
Say= "STOP, that's not nice, don't say that."
2. If someone hurts you or touches you in a way that bothers you:
Say= "STOP, don't do that to my body."
3. If you see someone treating someone unkindly or hurting someone else:
Say= "STOP, don't treat them like that."
