Working together with families in a partnership of teachers, staff and community members to provide an individualized learning environment that fosters high achievement in core and elective areas; preparing students for life-long success.

It's School Board Appreciation Month in Alaska

Family Partnership Charter School would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Academic Policy Committee board members for the dedication and service to our school.

In addition to being homeschooling parents and teachers with busy schedules, they serve as education advocates by providing vision and leadership for student achievement and academic success.

If you see our board members in the community, at school, or in a classroom, please give them a shout out for a job well done.

  • Mr. Ladd Parker (APC Chair)
  • Mrs. Kay Alley (APC Vice Chair)
  • Mrs. Teresa Kress (APC Secretary)
  • Mr. Dennis Taymen
  • Mrs. Melinda Demientieff
  • Mrs. Jewelene Utic
  • Mrs. Kimberly Fischer
  • Miss. Jorah Barber (student seat)
  • Mr. Carson Kress (student shadow seat)

It's National African American History Month

This annual celebration of achievements by black Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in U.S. history. The event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating black history.

It's also National Library Lover’s Month!

The entire month of February is dedicated to the people who love whole buildings devoted to the reading, housing, organizing, categorizing, finding, studying and otherwise loving books. Libraries provide so much more than a place for us to enjoy great novels or to discover amazing adventures and untold history.

We know your time is valuable, so we kept the number of survey questions to a minimum (only 9 this year). Your input is valued and greatly appreciated.
