About State Flowers
The State Flowers and Birds Collection was released by the U.S. postal service on April 14, 1982 at Washington D.C. and all state capitals. It is a classic 50-state issue that led to the naming of state flowers. It is one of the most popular album of stamps in postal history, and was created by wildlife painters Arthur and Alan Singer.
