Claires Court Bulletin
FROM THE HEADS OF SIXTH FORM
Our return to school on Monday 20 February will see the Sixth Form starting their mock exams. This holiday is a great opportunity for all students to spend some time revising effectively and making sure they are prepared for the mocks. However this is also a week for remembering the balance between work and play - students will also need to take time to relax and refresh as well as revise. Striking the right balance is important and a very valuable life skill. We wish you all a restful holiday.

Mrs Sahota updated us on the success of our three Young Enterprise teams at the weekend.:
1) String Line
2) Strike Vinyl
All teams arrived at 7.40am to secure a pitch in the Queensmere Centre Slough. They were ready to sell at 9am and were a credit to Claires Court School.
1) String Line sold 10 units
2) Strike Vinyl sold 1 unit plus two potential custom made orders
3) Lagoon sold all 30 units
All the students were responsible and organised with contingency plans in place. They were cold selling during the day too. The judges liked their products and appreciated their efforts.
PTA AGM - 23 FEBRUARY 2017You are warmly invited to attend the AGM of the Claires Court PTA on 23 February. This is an opportunity for all to hear what activities the PTA creates throughout the year as well as the contributions it makes to enhance the school experience of the boys and girls. After the brief formalities, refreshments are available and the presentation of the PTA Award is made. All are encouraged to attend and understand the contribution the PTA makes to school life.
As the weather gets colder, here are the details in case we need to close the School due to adverse weather conditions.
Sixth Form Mock Exams Mon 20 Feb - Fri 24 Feb
We have a larger Sixth Form than ever this year, with many Year 12s taking four subjects. There are 49 exams taking place in the week. Inevitably, several students will have clashes. We have tried to identify any clashes with the help of the students and rearrange any exams for them. The mock exam timetable has now been emailed to both students and parents..
