A Message from Dr. Bearden...
Happy Mother's Day! I hope that all mother's enjoyed the day and the beautiful weather. I spent a wonderful day at Callaway Gardens with my family. I included my son, Chaz, in my Monday message for May 11th morning announcements. :-)
At Principal Chat last Tuesday, we discussed that next week, May 11th thru 15th, teachers will still be working with students on a variety of activities and their plans will be posted per normal. But the types of activities will (as much as possible) mimic what the last two weeks of school would be were the children and teachers together. I hope that your children enjoy the week and the interactions with their teachers and classmates. Watch May 5th Principal Chat Recording
5th Grade Events and Celebrations: This year is definitely different as far as finding ways to make our 5th graders feel special as they all transition to middle school in the fall. We have some things planned that we hope will suffice and, virtual or not, SHE STAFF IS SO PROUD OF OUR 5th GRADERS!! 5th Grade EOY Events/Information for Parents
The week of May 18th thru 22nd will be filled with end of the year activities. There won't be lesson plans, but we will have a schedule for you in next week's HH.
Virtual Career Day: If you were able to log in to hear the career day guests and student's wax museum, then you already know how great it was! Ms. Bowen had up to 50+ students join her during each grade level time and I watched as the students had fun playing a Career Kahoot with her. If you missed it, here is the flyer with the links for the Career Day guests and the Student Wax Museum! CLICK HERE FOR CAREER DAY FLYER

That is all from me this week! Thank you for reading, for your partnership, and for your continued encouragement for our teachers! As we wrap up these last two weeks of the school year, I hope that we are able to capture just a little bit of the fun and excitement as if your Huskies were with us! Take care of one another and stay safe!
