Early Release - January 31, 2022
Just a reminder that Monday is an early release day for students. LPHS students will be released at 10:30. Buses will run immediately after release. Teaches will be participating in professional development.
LPHS will be assigning students, based on needs, into STAAR EOC Prep classes during the Bulldog Period in the coming days. Please encourage your students to take these classes serious and take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for successful completion of these graduation requirements.
Attendance and Tardiness
Attendance at school directly impacts student performance. We are working hard to encourage students to be at school and be at school on time. While we can and will establish programs and practices that encourage this, it is critical to have support from home. Please keep in mind that a student must attend 90% of the time in order to obtain credit in a course. Keep in mind that part of our efforts to encourage students to attend class regularly may include disciplinary action.
Let’s work together to ensure that ALL of our LPHS students perform at the highest academic levels possible!
Student Dress and Grooming
At LPISD has standards for dress and grooming. These are located in the LPISD Student Handbook. We have had some issues with students following the dress code recently. Please review these policies with your student(s) and encourage them to comply with the dress and grooming guidelines. Administrators have been and will continue to enforce these expectations at LPHS.
