A Message from Mrs. Haley
We are off to a great start at Longmont Estates Elementary! The students are having a good time getting to know their new teachers and classmates. It is fun to watch new friendships forming. I am so proud of how hard our teachers and students are working. Longmont Estates is truly a special place!
I believe in strong partnerships between school and our parent community. To support this belief, we will be sending home bi-weekly school newsletters via email. Please make sure to keep your email address up-to-date so you do not miss out on the important happenings at LEE.
As always, please let me know how I can help support you and your children as they grow and learn here at Longmont Estates Elementary.

Important Back-to-School Forms
At the beginning of each school year, we send a variety of forms home for parents to complete. These forms will ask you to verify or update contact information, agree to the guidelines of our birthday policy and acknowledge that you have read our Behavior Code of Conduct and Student Handbook. Please look for these important forms coming home today in your child’s Thursday folder. Please make any necessary changes, sign and return to the front office by Friday, September 1st. Thank you!
Jog-A-Thon T-Shirts
Each fall we ask our LEE students and families to help raise money for our PTO. This is our only direct-ask fundraiser, and it goes toward funding the school's PARAs (teacher aides), special events like Fall Festival and Innovation Fair, as well as things like teacher dinners for conference nights, busses for field trips and much, much more!
Each student will receive a t-shirt for this event. Please follow the link below to fill out the form with your child’s shirt size. Please complete this form by THURSDAY, AUGUST 31ST so that we can order the appropriate number of sizes. Students without a shirt size will have a size chosen for them.
A packet of information will be coming home soon. In it will be an introduction letter, a fundraising log, and a prize list. Look over the information and start fundraising! All donations are due back at the school on the day of Jog-A-Thon, Friday, Sept 22nd, 2023.
This is a super fun, energizing and exciting event for our LEE family, and it allows our students to be physically fit while raising money for our school. #LeeSoars #stvrainsoars

Hearing and Vision Screening
Vision and Hearing Screenings are vital to ensure your child has the visual and hearing skills necessary to perform well in school.
Please keep in mind that these screenings do not serve as a substitute for comprehensive exams by your child’s healthcare provider. Routine eye exams are important —regardless of age or physical health.
If your child requires follow-up vision or hearing testing, you will receive a letter with your child’s screening results.
Please contact Alyssa Redmore at redmore_alyssa@svvsd.org or 720-652-8101 with any questions/concerns.
Immunizations
Please take a moment to review your child's immunization records and ensure that they are complete and accurate. If there are updates or missing vaccines, please schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider to get those records updated. Below is a list of low-cost immunization clinics in the area to help families in need.
You can submit immunization records by emailing Ms. Alyssa (redmore_alyssa@svvsd.org) or by dropping a paper copy off at the school's front desk during school hours.
If you have questions about waivers or scheduling don't hesitate to contact us!

Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, is a District Late Start day. Students may arrive on campus at 10:45AM. The first bell will ring at 10:50AM and the late bell will ring at 10:55AM. Breakfast will not be served. Preschool will have a normal start to their school day.
Crackpots Fundraiser
Anyone can participate... Simply paint in September and tell us the name of your school at checkout. No need to plan ahead, but it's a great chance to gather friends or family!
Gifted and Talented
Each year, schools in St. Vrain Valley School District complete a process to identify students who demonstrate exceptional ability or performance in one or more academic areas and may, therefore, qualify for Gifted/Talented educational services. These students usually perform at least two years above grade level in their strength area(s), and they require additional academic challenges in order to support their continued educational growth and progress. In addition, they usually demonstrate characteristics of unique creativity and high motivation in their strength areas.
Referrals are open through the month of September and will close on the last day of the month. Referrals after that date will be addressed on a case by case basis. Completing a referral guarantees a review of the student profile to determine if testing is recommended for the student. The process for identification requires a body of evidence and often takes place throughout the school year.
The process takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
Please click below for the Referral Form.
Free and Reduced Meal Applications
All students in St Vrain Valley Schools will have access to free healthy, nutritious school meals beginning in the 2023-24 school year thanks to the Health School Meals for All program approved by Colorado voters.
Milk Caps for Moola
Since 2014, over $300,000 has been donated back to participating schools through the Milk Caps for Moola program. Schools are free to spend these funds as they wish: for good behavior rewards, special sports equipment, and field trips. Collect caps from your family or your neighbors.
It's fun and easy to collect milk bottle caps and earn money for our school.
