Effect of deforestation on climate
By: Max Kevin and Quincey
Many country's in the continent of Africa are facing the problem of deforestation. Deforestation can cause drought, extreme temperatures, bad soil, cyclones, and floods. When the trees are cut down they release carbon in the air creating more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses. When greenhouse gasses are released they accelerate the rate of climate change. Deforestation is 20% of global carbon emissions. These gasses can also come when the loggers burn the forest. This is also happening in countries like Indonesia, The Democratic Republic of Congo ,and Brazil, these countries should be creating policies to help this issue.
