Discovery Education: Streaming and Learning
Did you know that ESC Region 11 schools receive Discovery Education Streaming through ESC Region 11’s Digital Learning Cooperative? Discovery offers hundreds of thousands of awesome learning resources for teachers and students at all grade levels and across the curriculum. While Discovery is known for outstanding classroom videos, those videos are just one of the dozens of types of engaging learning media, digital classroom tools, instructional strategies, and professional learning resources available right at your fingertips.
By far, the most common reason that teachers aren’t taking full advantage of Discovery resources is simply that they don’t know what they don’t know! Our new "123… Go DE!" weekly newsletter highlights the latest and greatest resources that Discovery Ed has to offer, featuring one elementary and one secondary resource each week as well as one of the instructional strategy tutorials from DE’s Spotlight on Strategies series. This series helps teachers learn to integrate digital media into their classroom more effectively and provides one Discovery tip or technique to help teachers learn more about using the many features of the Discovery site. Register to receive this weekly newsletter.
For assistance with Discovery Ed Streaming access, training, and more, contact Kayla Steiner, 817-740-7659.
