The counseling department regularly hosts workshops for parents and students. Below are some of the upcoming programs. We hope that you are able to join us! If there is a topic that you would like us to address, please let us know.
Naviance Workshop Grades 6-12
You've heard about it, but what is Naviance really? Receive your password and learn more on December 6th at 7pm in the Middle School Library. Parents, please bring a form of identification with you. Parents/students in grades 6-12 are welcome to attend. Naviance is a college and career software program that all students use 6-12.
PSAT Scores And What They Mean For Students And Parents In Grades 10-11
January 8th 6:30 PM in the High School Auditorium
You have received your PSAT score report back, but what does it mean? This workshop is designed for students and parents who want to learn more about the score report and how to improve future SAT scores. Lacey Bonner from the College Board is our guest presenter. You won't want to miss this one! Bring your PSAT score report with you.
Junior Night For Students And Parents
January 9th at 7:30 PM in the High School Auditorium Rob Pertusati, Senior Associate Dean of Admissions at Stony Brook will be here to discuss the college admissions process. Junior packets including transcripts will be distributed at this meeting. Important information that you will need to prepare for your individual junior conference will also be shared.
