overfishing

Overfishing is catching too many fish at once, so the breeding population becomes too depleted to recover. Overfishing often goes hand-in-hand with wasteful types of commercial fishing that haul in massive amounts of unwanted fish or other animals, which are discarded.

overfishing
Overfishing occurs when more fish are caught than the population can replace through natural reproduction. Instead of risky shorter seasons, a shared catch-limit allows fishermen to work whenever they want. Today, more than half of all seafood caught in US waters is in 'catch-shares' management. That’s good for both fisheries and fishermen and their communities.
how they can be stopped they have to have a regulation they should have a limit on how many fish you can get, poor fishing management is the primary cause. Around the world, many fisheries are governed by rules that make the problem worse, or have no rules at all.

With smarter management systems, known as fishing rights, we can reverse the incentives that lead to overfishing. Under fishing rights, fishermen’s interests are tied to the long-term health of a fishery. Their income improves along with the fish population.
Air pollution
The health, environmental, and economic impacts of air pollution are significant. Each day, air pollution causes thousands of illnesses leading to lost days at work and school. Air pollution also reduces agricultural crop and commercial forest yields by billions of dollars each year.
created the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and passed the Clean Air Act, giving the federal government authority to clean up air pollution in this country. Since then, EPA and states, tribes, local governments, industry, and environmental groups have worked to establish a variety of programs to reduce air pollution levels across America.
air pollution
There are several causes of air pollution, most of which are man-made. A major contributor of air pollution is the emissions from vehicles and industrial factories. Cars on the road cause smog, and companies who use or produce chemicals as a byproduct of their industries emit chemicals into the air that affect land, animals and humans.
Products used in everyday home tasks may emit toxic fumes that are harmful in environments that are not well-ventilated. Finally, there are sources of air pollution that are natural and not man-made. This includes the dust and smog from natural events such as volcanoes and dust storms
