Where Excellence is the Standard: Volume 1 Edition 4
Happy New Year!
Dear Randle High School families and friends,
I hope that you had a relaxing winter break! We were so excited about the amazing opportunities that will be coming in 2021! As we move closer to the opening of Randle High School, we have important meetings and information to share with parents and students.
- Course selection timelines (January 2021)
- Parent/student presentations related to course selections (January and February 2021)
- Parent & Teacher Organizations (February 2021)
- Project Graduation (March 2021)
- Booster Clubs (March - April 2021)
Specific dates and times will be sent out through skylert very soon. Due to COVID-19 protocols, meetings and presentations will be conducted virtually via ZOOM. We will do our best to accommodate parents schedules. Our goal is to keep families informed and engaged in the "Randle Experience."
You may have already heard that we have recently hired our first campus counselor and school librarian. We would like to send out a Randle welcome to Ms. Chandra Harvey and Ms. Traci Walton. Both are current members of the LCISD family. We are very excited as both bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Randle HS.
Again, welcome back! Here’s to a great January and a great 2021!
Sincerely
John Montelongo

WELCOME TO THE RANDLE FAMILY
Mrs. Chandra Harvey - Dr. Thomas E. Randle High School Counselor
August 2020, marks her 18th year in education. Mrs. Harvey taught English for ten years, before becoming a College and Career Advisor in Fort Bend ISD. It was during this period she realized her passion for helping students and guiding them through one of the most difficult stages of life – high school.
Mrs. Harvey received her Master’s in Secondary Counseling in 2015, and for the past three years has worked as a counselor in Lamar CISD. She is a big fan of The Four Agreements, as a wife and a mother of two growing boys, she is constantly reminded of the fourth agreement: Always do your best. She has made this agreement with every aspect of my life, at home and at work.
Mrs. Harvey's ultimate goal at Randle High School is to, not only ensure that students have everything they need to be successful academically, but also to create an environment where each student feels loved, safe, and appreciated. Above all things, Mrs. Harvey agrees to always do her best, because at Randle High School excellence is the standard.
Mrs. Tracy Walton - Dr. Thomas E. Randle High School Librarian
Mrs. Walton has been in education since 2002. After starting her Library Science program, she left the classroom in 2007 to embark on being a school librarian. Mrs. Walton believes the library is a magical place that equips students with lifelong learning skills and provides a safe haven for ALL students to think, create, share, and grow. Mrs. Walton has been in LCISD for 9 years, most recently opening the library at Carter Elementary.
Mrs. Walton is married and has 3 children. Her oldest is at Roberts Middle School and her two younger children are at Huggins Elementary. When not in the library, Mrs. Walton enjoys exercising, spending time with her family and visiting any destination that includes a lake, river or beach where she can relax with a book in her hand.
When asked why she was excited about joining the Randle Family she said, “It has been a dream of mine to develop a vibrant library program that will reach learners exploring a broader field of research and build a culture of literacy and inclusiveness by exposing students to invaluable new perspectives.”
