ONE WITH NATURE

An Outdoor Adventure at Saint Anne's Chapel

Mind if we sit outside?

Experience a day of mindfulness as you reconnect with the natural world. Spend a day engaged in activities designed to bring your awareness back to the natural order of things. Find yourself basking in the orange glow of sunshine rather than the blue glow of the television and the computer. Learn to walk, talk, listen, breathe, and sit in stillness, at one with the birds, bees, flowers, and trees!

Sunday, March 10, 2013: 12:30-4:30 pm

Come prepared to spend the day outside, rain or shine. Dress in layers, sit on the earth, and talk with others about your place in the world.

About the Presenter

GREG WHITT is a facilitator, educator, and rhythmatist based in Raleigh, NC. He believes that life is richer when people exist in harmony, when we resonate at a higher frequency, and when we choose cooperation and collaboration with one another and with the world around us.

Through a background in leadership and service, Greg has experienced profound moments in the natural world - standing in the Sonoran desert with cacti, tumbleweeds, scorpions and coyotes, sailing solo from the sight of land in the Pacific Ocean with sea lions, sunfishes, and blowing whales, hanging in a hammock in the front yard under 80-year old oaks, suspended between heaven and earth.

Greg supports the idea that there's a natural order to things and that we cannot holistically separate ourselves from these inherent rhythms of life. As a facilitator he works to rewrite the story and strengthen the connections. As an educator, he teaches how we can do this in partnership with the ancient wisdom traditions of the world. As a rhythmatist he helps entrain and harmonize, both within ourselves and within the larger circle.

Greg holds a graduate certificate in Transformative Leadership from the Tai Sophia Institute (now the Maryland University of Integrative Health) in Laurel, Maryland.
