Online passport renewal has arrived!
This new service will allow adults to renew their passport books and cards online wherever they are in the world. Irish Citizens who are over 18, and have held an Irish Passport can now apply for their Passport Book and/or Passport Card at www.dfa.ie/passportonline/.
The target turnaround time is ten working days plus postage. The fee if you apply online is €80 for a standard passport book. Fees for applying through the embassy can be found on our website: https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/republic-of-korea/passports/how-to-apply-for-a-passport/
Darkness into Light - First event in Seoul
Darkness into Light is a 5km walk/run to take place on Saturday morning , May 06th at 4.00 am in Yeouido Hangang Park, Seoul to raise awareness about suicide and measures for prevention of suicide and self harm. Proceeds raised from this event go to Pieta House, Ireland.
130,000 people will take part in this event in 2017 across four continents. Be part of the very first Darkness into Light event in Korea!

Gaelic Games
The first round of the Korean League 2017 takes place in Namyangju Sports Culture Centre on the east side of Seoul on 13 May. The games will take place between 9:00am and 5pm, with mens and womens teams from Seoul, Daegu, and Busan all competing. There will also be a kid's game. St Patrick's Day Visit of Minister Donohoe and Global Greening
Minister for Public Expenditure & Reform, Paschal Donohoe T.D. had a successful St Patrick’s Day visit to Korea (14-15 March). In a busy programme, Minister Donohoe launched the Irish Korean Cuisine and Cultural Exchange, met with a range of Irish businesses operating here as well as the Irish community, and promoted Ireland as an investment location.
Seoul City Hall and Gwangan Bridge down in Busan both went spectacularly green for St Patrick's Day.

TravelWise - travel advice app from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has launched TravelWise, the new smartphone app designed to help Irish citizens to stay safe and informed while travelling, living or working overseas. TravelWise has been developed by the Department to provide travel advice and consular information to these citizens to keep them informed and aware.
