Everything You Need to Know for the Coming Week
April 4th, 2021
a note from the principal
I hope everyone had a great Spring Break and is ready to return for our last quarter!
Report Cards
Student report cards will be available for viewing in the PowerSchool Parent Portal on Friday, April 9th.
Chromebooks
Now that student laptops are being sent back and forth between school and home, we are experiencing issues with chargers and headphones breaking. Please be sure chargers and headphones are unplugged from the device prior to placing it in the backpack to be transported back to school. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to replace chargers and will be asking parents to pay for the replacements ($37.00) as agreed upon in the technology agreement that was singed at the beginning of the year.
Kindergarten Information / Welcome to Kindergarten
WELCOME CLASS OF 2034! Entering kindergarten is an exciting time in the life of a child and a great adventure for children and parents. Kindergarten is a very important milestone on your child’s journey to success.
Kindergarten Registration is up and running. Here’s the link where parents can register: https://www.dpsnc.net/kindergarten. Click on the link to learn more information about kindergarten registration, then scroll down the page and “click here to register your child”. At the next page, click on the green 2021-2022 link for enrollment. Although there is no tight deadline, we’d love to have you enroll sooner, rather than later, so we know to expect your child.
2021-2022 Intent survey
We are currently in the process of planning for next school year. In doing so, we need to have an accurate count of the number of students who are planning to return to Easley next school year (2021-2022). Accurate student numbers will ensure that we do not lose teaching staff and instructional positions. Thus, your participation in this brief survey is very important!
We have also included a section for you to provide any information you think we need to know about your child when making class placements for next year. Please do not make requests for specific teachers. The only exception is if an older child had a teacher who you would like us to consider for the younger sibling. We do our bests to honor sibling requests, but please know there is no guarantee as we have a very involved process for creating class rosters. Please complete this survey by April 10th.
