News of the Week
September 12-16
Important Reminders!
Here are a few reminders for next week:
- We have a fun activity to try on our eClass page! Add to our Padlet of 3D shapes you can find at home. Look in your house for a cone, cylinder, cube, or sphere! When you find one, go to our eClass page, scroll down to our Padlet, then click on the pink plus sign to add a picture. Lastly, type your name and what object you found in the box. We will look at our Padlet next week. (To log-on to our eClass page, use your child's number and password that you received at Curriculum Night... follow the link and directions near the bottom of the newsletter).
- Our ABC Bootcamp fun continues next week with letters T-X
- On Friday, September 30th we will be doing a letter fashion show with Mrs. Gunter's class to show off one letter to the other kindergarten classes. The kids will be asked to design a paper bag vest with items that represent their letter. The directions, paper bag vests, and your assigned letter will be sent home next week so you can work on the project at home. Please have all vests back at school on or before September 29th!
- Wishlist item... BAND-AIDS!!! We would LOVE some more boxes of band-aids to cover our many, many bumps and scrapes!
- Our field trip to INK is Monday, October 3rd. Please log-on to your My Payments Plus account to pay for the field trip by September 28th. Parents are welcome to join us at INK for the field trip, you can just meet the bus there!
- Conferences are coming up at the end of the month. If you have not done so already, please sign up for a conference with me by clicking here. If none of the available times work for you, please contact me and we can work something out. I look forward to sharing your child's progress with you!
Bear Share Fun Run!
We had the best time celebrating our school's fundraiser! it was a hot day, but we had a great misting tent to keep us cool, plus some awesome music to keep up going! See some pictures of our Speedy Eagles below!

Fun in Math!
Today we had Munchy Math as we tried to create a CUBE from pretzels and marshmallows. It was a tough task, but like one of our students said, we had to be like the Little Blue Engine that Could and say "I think I can, I think I can"! Ha ha! We ended up just making some flat triangles, squares, and rectangles, but they did all try hard! And getting to eat our math project at the end was the best part of all!
