Christianity
Christianity believes in one god, and that Jesus is the son of god that was sent down to earth to save us from our sins. Christians believe in going to church every Sunday, they celebrate the birth of Jesus (Christmas), and they believe that on the third day after he was killed, that he rose again and entered heaven and that one day he will come again.
Hinduism
Worlds oldest religion. Located mainly in India and Nepal. Hindus believe in one God named as “Brahman” but view other Gods and Goddesses as Him. So basically they worship more than one God. Most Hindus worship God in the form of an idol. They read and follow the 'dharma.' They celebrate Diwali which is the Festival of Lights.
Judaism
Judaism believes in one god, and that the messiah will come again to save them. They have Hanukkah for 8 days at the end of the end of the year, and young boys and girls celebrate bat/bar mitzvah, which is a coming of age.
Buddhism
Buddhism focuses on the teachings of Siddartha Guatama. His teachings were written in Buddhist holy books called Tripitaka or sutras. Dominant religion int hr Far East. Rituals of pure meditation sometimes. They celebrate things such as new year and dhamma day.
Islam
Islam is a monotheistic religion based on revelations received by the Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century, which were later recorded in the Qur'an, Islam's sacred text. They celebrate Ramadan which is a month of fasting and the Islamic new year.
