Gallup Survey for 5th Grade

Millard Public Schools and Gallup will be partnering to measure the engagement of our students through the Gallup Student Poll. The Gallup Student Poll is a brief, 24-item survey available on the web for students in grades 5 through 12. One time per year in the fall, the survey is provided to schools. Our school will participate on Monday, October 8, 2018.

This survey is anonymous. That means Gallup cannot identify your student, and your student’s individual responses will not be shared with anyone. Only grade-level and school-level information will be shared with our school. If you have any questions about the Gallup Student Poll, please contact Mrs. Anglemyer.

Upchurch Spanish Club Parent Volunteer Opportunity

We are looking for a parent volunteer with a significant understanding of the Spanish language to help during each of our Spanish clubs. The volunteer would need to attend all sessions of the Kindergarten and 1st Grade Spanish Club and/or 2nd and 3rd Grade Spanish Club. The volunteer will help with facilitation of activities planned by Mrs. Mildenberger for the clubs. We had a great number of students interested in both clubs. With a parent volunteer, we can increase our number of students participating in the clubs to 35 students in each club. Please see the forms below for the dates and times of the clubs. Please contact Mrs. Mildenberger at eamildenberger@mpsomaha.org if you are interested by Friday, Oct. 12th at noon. If there is no volunteer interest, we will draw 24 students for each club as originally planned.

A Note from the Counselor:

In October our classroom counseling lessons in grades K-5 will focus on skills of resiliency, coping skills and how to get help for oneself and/or a friend. These lessons are intended to educate students on feelings of stress, worry, sadness, how to cope with such feelings, and how to ask for help if needed. Please talk with your child about these feelings, and reinforce appropriate coping strategies such as talking with a trusted adult, exercising, or doing an activity they enjoy. Please contact Laurie Fitzpatrick at lafitzpatrick@mpsomaha.org with any questions!

Please Label Your Child's Clothing

Please label your child clothing with the last name on the tag of the clothing. Items in the Lost and Found are donated to a non-profit organization at designated times throughout the year. We want to make sure your items get back to you before this donation.

Clothing Donations Needed for the Health Room

We are in need for both girls and boys elastic top pants in smaller sizes for kindergarteners through third graders to keep in the health room if pants become too wet to wear. If you would like to donate some pants, please send them to the office.
