Science/Social Studies: We will finish our learning in the Electricity and Magnetism unit of study tomorrow. The test will be Tuesday. Our next unit in SS, Road to the Revolution, will begin at the beginning of next week. Our pace will be accelerating in SS and Science. Please make sure your child is reviewing a little bit each night.

Reading: We are wrapping up our second round of Book Clubs with a fun culminating project. Each book club will work together to plan and prepare to "parade" their book in our school-wide Storybook Parade on March 4th. They will make a banner or poster of some sort and decide how their group will need to dress. They might decide that props are needed. All of these decisions will be up to the group to finalize. Parents are invited to attend this event.

As we finish up this book club, we will be moving into Poetry analysis. Mrs. Reeves and I have been so pleased with the children's rich conversations during book clubs that we have decided to utilize this format during our Poetry unit. More about this next week.

Writing: The children are working on the outline for their DBQ essays.

In Math, the children took a fraction, percent, and decimal pre-test today.

As your child has probably mentioned (or maybe not, not all of them talk about school), Señora Dickson has been absent a couple of times since this project was assigned. However, I have not heard of a change in the due date. Please make sure that your child is working on this project at home. If the children have questions, Señora Dickson has asked me to encourage them to utilize their school email account to share their project with her and ask her questions. Even though she is not able to be at school right now, she wants to be available to answer questions.
