FTSD Launches new app
FTSD has created a new app that you can add to your cell phone home page so you can easily stay connected to us at all times. Below are step by step directions to upload the app to your cell phone home page:
- Launch the “Safari” app/tab on your phone. This does not work from the “Chrome” app.
- Enter into the address field at top of the screen the following URL --https://thunkable.site/w/ONBngoFa_ then Tap “Go.”
- Tap the icon featuring a right-pointing arrow coming out of a box along the top of the Safari window to open a drop-down menu.
- Tap “Add to Home Screen.” The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the icon that will be used for this website on the left side of the dialog box.
- Enter the name for the shortcut using the on-screen keyboard and tap “Add.” Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located.
- Tap the "F" logo to launch the app & enjoy!

HELP US HELP OTHERS
We are excited to announce the start of our Annual Giving Drive combining our Thanksgiving and Holiday food drive, which benefits over 100 families in the Florence/Roebling area. All students/families are asked to donate food items on the list below. Donating is easy! Please send your donation to the school by Friday, November 19th for Thanksgiving and/or December 10th for the Holiday Drive.
We also happily accept turkeys and monetary donations or gift cards to cover fresh food items for each basket. Every little bit helps and is much appreciated! See below for more details!
FTMHS NEWS
NHS Helps With Socks
The FTMHS National Honor Society partnered with the Women’s League of Mount Holly to sponsor Socktober, a month-long sock drive to collect new socks to be donated to area homeless shelters. 250 pairs of socks were collected from the FTMHS community!
AP Language and Composition Acting Debut
To learn more about the rhetorical appeals used in speeches—ethos, logos, and
pathos—students in the FTMHS AP English Language and Composition class read Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare and had fun while enacting the famous assassination scene.
MIKE’S CRUMB CAKE FACTORY FUNDRAISER
The FTMHS CLASS OF 2023 is selling DELICIOUS 8” by 8” crumb cake for only $10.
All orders are due by December 1st, 2021 and must be paid in advance. Please make checks payable to FTMHS CLASS of 2023.
Crumb cakes will be ready for pick up at the high school on December 14th. Student sellers are responsible for picking up and delivering orders to their buyers. *Crumb cakes can easily be frozen and defrosted.*

Future Flashes Night
I Support the Girls-Please donate NEW bras, underwear, and feminine hygiene products. Please bring all donations to the bins in front of the main office. Any questions please email Caitlyn Lyman at lymanc@florence.k12.nj.us. Donations will be accepted until November 23rd. Thanks for your support!
Fall Grams-RF Student Council is selling fall grams. Each fall gram is $1 and money will be accepted until 11/18. Please see your homeroom teacher to purchase.
Turkey Drawing Contest-RF Students can decorate their hand with anything they find around their house, such as feathers, pom-poms, and more. Please make sure that your name and grade is somewhere on the project so we know where to return it. Each grade will have one winner that will receive a gift card. The finished hands will be due November 24th. See your homeroom teacher for a template and directions.
Gratitude Journals-RF Students are invited to respond to journal prompts on Google classroom to reflect on things they are grateful for throughout November
ROEBLING ELEMENTARY NEWS
- Students in Mrs. Pair & Mrs. Blakely’s class made a fun fall snack in blue and gold.
- 1st & 2nd graders in Mrs. Roberson's Art Class made "Infinity Dot" clay pumpkins inspired by the works of the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
- Mrs. Graf's students have been studying pumpkins and the life cycle. They have been reading stories, using their active board for different boom card activities, singing songs, and making pumpkins.
- Mrs. Ridgeway's Kindergarten class has been busy studying Nicaragua for Hispanic Heritage Month and "Our Five Senses" Unit.
THANK YOU for once again helping to make this day special for those that have and continue to serve. We are hopeful that we can be back in in-person next year!
