It's CTE Month!
CTE Month® is an annual event held in February to celebrate CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country. CTE Month 2019, with its theme of "Celebrate Today, Own Tomorrow" will give us the chance to tell the stories of leadership and excellence from our community and raise awareness of the crucial role that CTE has in readying our students for careers and our nation for economic success.
LCISD offers many Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses giving students the opportunity to explore specific career areas and options for immediate employment or further education in that field. Industry certifications and college credit can be earned while in high school. CTE programs give students the opportunity to explore a range of options for their future - both inside and outside the classroom. CTE can take students even further during their high school experience - providing opportunities for specialized classes, internships, and networking with members of their community.
For more information about CTE classes offered at Lubbock-Cooper High School, contact any high school counselor or Debbie Smith, CTE Director.
