Vote for TJMS Parent/Guardian School Site Council Members
TJMS 2022-23 School Site Council Parent/Guardian nominees: TIME TO VOTE!
- We went from having 1, then 2, now 5 SSC Parent/Guardian volunteers. Thank you to the 5 nominees that are willing to spend time doing this work. However, we can only have three parents on the Council. So it's time to VOTE! Submit ONE Google form (below in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Vietnamese). You may vote for as many members as you want or write in another parent/guardian.
- Every parent/guardian can submit the form to vote ONCE. Votes will be tallied at the end of the day on Friday, September 9, 2022.
English: 22-23 School Site Council PARENT Election Ballot
Hmong: 22-23 School Site Council Daim Ntawv Xaiv Tsa

Vietnamese: Hội Đồng Trường Niên Học 2022-2023 Phiếu Bầu của Phụ Huynh
ParentVUE Opt-Outs
Students brought home forms on the first day of school. Most students have returned completed forms that parents and guardians completed. One of the forms was the "EGUSD Opt Out" form. If you need to see or edit your selections (front office staff are still inputting the signed forms) you can now do it online through ParentVUE. Once the window closes to make edits through ParentVUE, families will need to contact the front office for changes to the "Opt Outs".

PBIS FAMILY SUPPORT
DINE OUT DAY!: Sprinkles in Top We have a Dine Out Day this Tuesday 9/6 at Sprinkles on Top, flyers will be sent home with students Tuesday. Funds raised help us purchase prizes for our Jag Swag drawings in classrooms and on TJ-TV, our student-run news show. Proceeds also help fund our schoolwide Toby Pride shirts, PBIS Kick-off activities (first two days of school) and guest speakers.
COUNSELING AND STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. We would like to educate and raise awareness about the warning signs and how to help those in need. As part of this effort, we created a Wellness Lesson for our next Advocacy class on September 7th. Key components of suicide prevention are wellness and self-care. Included in the lesson is an opportunity for our students to join our 7th and 8th grade Wellness Centers in Google Classroom. The Wellness Centers provide a variety of resources for students to support a healthy lifestyle. Please visit our Counseling and Student Support Services site to see Suicide Prevention Resources.
