Compulsory School Attendance

Andrew Erdman

Why Do I Have to Learn Everything

The point of school is to learn and when you go to school, the second you step into the building you are learning.

I believe you have to attend school but only study the subjects you want to. For example if you are a great writer and want to be an author when you're out of school and you don't want to spend your time in math. Basicly you don't have to learn what you don't want to learn.

This should be controlled to a certain degree, because if you only want to learn math and science and never attend a language arts class then you wouldn't even know your abc's. Therefore you should have to attend one year of the primary subjects

There is another side to this as well, not attending school at all. Some kids don't attend school until the final exam. This too i agree with, my reason being, if you learn somewhere else, it doesn't matter, if you don't learn it anywhere and you already know the material, it doesn't matter. The only thing that really matters is if the person passes the final exam. Think about it if you know something, why learn it again, you could do other things than wasting you time re-learning stuff. But if on the other hand if you don't pass the exam, and you didn't have to attend school, you have to learn it.

Interview with Quinn Schwartz

Q: What do you feel about learning all subjects

A: Depends on what you want to be because if you want to be a scientist you should only have to study math and science.

Reasons for missing school

People do a variety of things to miss classes they don't want to take but are forced to.

School or no school?

So, you should be allowed to attend at least the final exam, and those exams should be on two subjects of your choice, so choose how YOU learn.
