Block Style
Block style is when all the lines of the text are aligned with the left margin
none of the lines are indented and this is commonly used in business letters and memos.
Below is an example of a block style letter
Indented
The first line of the paragraph is indented
- use the tab key to indent a paragraph
- commonaly used in reports
Hanging Indent
This is when all lines are indented except the first line of the text
- Each additional line is indented
- commonalty used in bibliography sources

is used to indent lines in the text
