Principal's Update
Scappoose Students, Staff and Families,
We had a wonderful third week of school. As Administrators have walked through classrooms and witnessed great teaching and learning, I want to publicly recognize and thank our staff for doing such a great job launching our school year. Staff is working diligently to provide engaging and rigorous experiences in classrooms for all students.
This week, there are some great athletic events coming that you will see below, as well as some safety reminders to keep everyone as safe as possible. We also have updated our homecoming week date, which is listed below. Please continue reading for some important updates for the next couple of weeks of school.

Safety Updates and Student Dropoff
Please reference the link for the updated RSSL document, from Oregon Department of Education’s Ready School Safe Learners for all current regulations.
The following information explains the guidelines, communication, and support for students who are going to experience extended absences for any reason (surgery, sickness, travel, bereavement, quarantine, etc.).
Parents please do not use the bus turnaround for student dropoff after 8:30 AM. It causes safety issues with unloading students from buses. We appreciate the cooperation with adhering to using the two lower lots for dropoff.
Cafe News
Remember lunch and breakfast are free! Students please stop in and grab a breakfast sandwich, some pizza or a delicious sandwich. When you do that take the time to meet our amazing kitchen staff.
Here is the menu:
We have a variety of ala carte items to pick from such as chips, waters, cookies. These items are not part of the free lunch so make sure you have some money on your account.
Students please remember to clean up after your meal and thank your custodial staff for all the work they do to keep your cafe clean.
Busing Messaging
Durham Bus Services is continuing to make every effort to hire and onboard new drivers as efficiently as possible. Due to the shortage of drivers the following routes: 2,8,10 & 13 will not be operating the week of 9/27/21. Thank you parents for your patience during this time period.
