Mayo Clinic Young Volunteers Program

Mayo Clinic Young Volunteers provides volunteer opportunities in both clinic and hospital settings. The program is open to students ages 14 to 18. As a volunteer in Mayo Clinic Young Volunteers, you'll provide patients, visitors and staff with hospitality, services and amenities that would not otherwise be available to them. In addition, you'll have opportunities to access health care career information firsthand by attending presentations and tours arranged by Mayo Clinic Young Volunteers. The minimum volunteer time commitment is one year. You are required to complete one regularly scheduled shift a week for at least 32 weeks during your one-year commitment. Some leave of absence time may be arranged with the coordinator to allow for participation in sports, band, clubs or other activities. Shifts are from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
