Just a reminder that the material distribution for the 3rd Trimester will be this upcoming Wednesday, February 24th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. All materials will be located on a table in the front of the school. Drive by to pick up materials and wave "Hi" to your child's teacher! If you are unable to pick-up on this day/time, please contact the front office to schedule an alternative time. Please note: If your home school is NOT Loma Ridge, please contact your home school for material pick-up date and time.

Parking Lot Reminders

We appreciate that mornings can be busy and you may be rushed to get to your next destination after drop-off. Please be sure that you are focused on the safety of our students and staff as you drive your vehicle through our drop-off area as well as through our parking lot. We have heard of a few scary situations where accidents were avoided thanks to the alertness of the pedestrians when drivers were distracted. Thank you for staying vigilant and for driving slowly through our entire parking lot.

IUSD Annual Survey

Please take a few minutes to complete our IUSD Annual Survey. Each year, every school in Irvine Unified administers a climate survey. By making this an annual district-wide effort, we can begin to understand our most compelling needs and measure our growth over time.

Obtaining stakeholder feedback regarding school climate and school-community relationship is critical for guiding our continuous improvement efforts. It also allows IUSD to dedicate resources through our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) to ensure that we serve our students, support our staff, and remain connected to our communities. To learn more about the LCAP and the importance of the Annual Survey, please watch this three-minute informative video.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the IUSD Annual Survey! We know that this is a busy time of year and we appreciate you dedicating your time to provide us candid and constructive feedback. The survey will be open from January 25 to February 22. All responses to this survey are anonymous and will be kept strictly confidential.

A Message from Nurse Arya

IUSD supports a 10 day quarantine for families who travel out of state. Absences related to voluntary quarantine are excused and students will complete asynchronous work while they are home. Please see the CDPH January 6th Travel Advisory notice for state recommendation.

Please note that Covid testing immediately following travel may not reflect the true extent of exposure to Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 as the virus can take 5-14 days to incubate within the body before a person can test positive. Please consider the voluntary quarantine as a way to assist us in promoting a safe and healthy environment for students and staff. For local testing click on the link provided: IRVINE-COVID Testing

For additional questions please feel free to contact our school nurse Jeannine Arya at jeanninearya@iusd.org or our health office assistant Saba Karim at sabakarim@iusd.org .

Our School Choice Window is Open

School Choice applications can now be found on our website. The School Choice application allows parents to identify if they would like their child to attend a school other than their neighborhood school. The deadline for submitting a request is February 26, 2020 at noon. If your child is already at Loma on school choice you DO NOT need to complete a new application. If you have any questions about the process, please call our office at 949-404-1400.
