Woodland Park Academy
August 20, 2021
A Message from Mrs. Martin, Principal
Hello Woodand Park Academy Families!
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! We are so excited to have students back in our building full-time and be Eagles again! At Woodland Park Academy we are partnering with families and providing diverse educational opportunities to inspire our children to change the world! As a community it is vital that we are all working together; parents, students, and staff, to accomplish this mission.
Our plan is to come back to 5 days a week of in-person instruction for all WPA Eagles. In order to accomplish this, we need your support. Please read THIS LETTER regarding our Fall 2021 plans for instruction. Masks will be required in the building.
Woodland Park is also happy to welcome several new staff members to our amazing team! Check out their profiles below!
WPA is also transitioning to a new student information system called Synergy. This program will streamline all of our communication, access to your child's attendance, grades, and schedule, and will also keep the most important information about your child updated. All parents will have access to ParentVUE and you will be emailed an activation code soon. Please be patient as we learn this new program. It is going to be a great tool for all of us!
Woodland Park has so many exciting things happening this year! We are finalizing plans for a new playground! Thank you to those of you that "voted" via Facebook on our play structure. Scroll down to see the winner!
We look forward to seeing you at the Pop In for Popsicles event on August 25 between 5-7 pm. Plan to "pop in" to see your child's classroom and meet the teacher (with your masks on). Then head outside for a popsicle, dress code swap, and visit some tables to learn more about WPA and our community partners. There will be time to learn about our curriculum and the teacher's expectations at Curriculum Night, September 15th, 2021 from 5-7 pm.
Once you finish reading this, please do 2 important things;
1. Complete the Student Information Form (linked below).
2. Register for ParentVUE (when you get an activation code email).
I look forward to partnering with you to provide a high-quality education and environment for your child. We are going to have an amazing year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Martin
