THURSDAY - ONE AND ONLY IVAN MOVIE CELEBRATION @ 6PM
Please join us for a viewing of the movie The One and Only Ivan. We have had a chance to read the book, now you can have a chance to watch the movie with everyone. We will be offering everyone a free water and popcorn.
Feel free to bring a dinner to the movie. We encourage you to bring whatever you need to be comfortable in the MPR. Thank you for finishing the book and enjoying the movie. The movie is PG as we know some of the issues in the book can be sad and a little scary.
NEXT FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8th - MR. KNAACK SURGERY
The day has arrived for Mr. Knaack to get a new hip. I know this can cause some angst when any of our staff members have to be gone for an extended period of time. I have a great colleague, Karen Brice who will be my replacement while I am gone. She was a long time principal of Horizon Elementary in Appleton. We are lucky to have her. Outside of not hearing my loud voice, I would bet everything else will feel the same for you. I am sorry I have to leave you. My plan is to return in the middle of January. We will keep you informed if that changes.
With the winter weather arriving, please make sure that your child is coming to school with the appropriate winter gear. All students must wear jackets and have a pair of boots they can change into. KG-2nd grade must wear snow pants and boots to play in the snow, otherwise they will need to play on the blacktop. 3rd - 6th grade students can play in the snow with boots only. Hats and gloves or mittens are strongly encouraged.
We also advise that each child have a spare pair of clothing in their backpack. This clothing can then be utilized by them due to spills, snow gear "leaks" or for any other wet accidents. Even our upperclassmen run into issues with this from time to time. This will then alleviate any stress or negative feelings your child has when any issues do occur.
Thank you for assisting your child by providing clothing that they would be comfortable in. We will be going out in extremely cold temperatures.
LOST AND FOUND
This will now be a weekly feature in the minutes. Please check over the picture. Tell your kids to pick up the items. Or just stop in every so often to pick your items up.
