David Lloyd George
He was a pacifist finance minister who supported the war efforts and is credited with creating civil infrastructure that unified the Allied army. Also, in 1919 he was a key person in the Paris Peace Conference.
Raymond Poincare
Was the Conservative French Prime Minister and President. He called for a "Sacred Union" which brought political leaders together. This made him a respected figure after the war.

Because Germany decided to resume the policy of unrestricted submarine warfare and the idea of Germany having an alliance with Mexico.

The Texas Senate asked for US and German relations be cut off. As a deal, Germany wanted to help Mexico get Texas back but Texans rebelled and fought against them.

Germany surrendered and the Treaty of Versailles was signed, also the treaty was signed to keep peace between nations.

How did FDR pull the country out of depression?
When FDR became president he launched the "New Deal". This was a series of programs that helped those who were affected by the Great Depression.
What caused the Dust Bowl and how did it affect farmers in Texas?
The Dust Bowl was caused by severe drought and failure to apply dry land farming methods to help prevent erosion. Texas farmers couldn't plant their crops which caused them to lose their jobs and become homeless.
Which New Deal programs were important to Texas?
The programs that were needed for farmers was the Rural Electrification Administration and the Agricultural Adjustment.
How were tenant farmers and miners affected by the Great Depression?
They would go out of business and they would become homeless like others affected. Since they still had debts to pay to the landowner, their debts would build up over time.

How did Texas contribute to the nation's military effort in fighting World War 2?
Texas senators helped plan a bill to provide war supplies. Also, after Pearl Harbor, the military lines were long and Texas was about 7% of the military. Texas sent calvary units to some battalions too.
How did life change for Texans on the home front during World War 2?
The Great Depression became a memory to some. Most Texans started to work in rural areas or in the city. Some couldn't get all the necessities they needed but they saved things up for those in the military.
How did World War 2 end?
A week after Hitler committed suicide, Germany surrendered to the Allies.
