Kindergarten Newsletter
May 3rd
World Wildlife Fund
Our Student Council fundraiser will continue one more week! Kindergarten is collecting money to virtually adopt a panda!
Reading
We read a few of Mo Willems' books this week. We discussed the character traits of the Pigeon in the story Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and in the story The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog. We also learned how to complete a retell with just one sentence! Somebody Wanted But So/Then... For example, The Pigeon (Somebody) wanted to drive the bus (Wanted), but he did not get to, so he thought about driving a truck instead. The kids really enjoyed these stories!
6th Grade Buddies
We finished up our animal research projects with our 6th grade buddies today! We learn a lot of new information about many different kinds of animals. Ask your kindergartner which animal they learned about with their buddy!
