Auschwitz 2 or known as Birkenau had the largest total prisoner population out of any of the other camps. This camp played a center roll in killing all the Jews of Europe. Near the camp the nazis used these as gas chambers and later built four large crematorium buildings and each had three components a disrobing area,a large gas chamber, and crematorium ovens. Also gas chambers were created in Birkenau and was tested in Auschwitz 1.
