From the Principal's Desk
The first semester is coming to a close soon (January 21). This is an opportune time for teachers and parents to touch base with each other about any concerns, progress meeting goals, etc., not in an adversarial way but rather working together to help our students succeed. Please, if you have questions or concerns, reach out to your child's teacher. If the outcome is unsatisfactory, reach out to me. As I've said many times, I cannot address what I do not know about.
If your child's teacher reaches out to you with concerns, please take them in the spirit in which they are offered--in an attempt to collaborate to make sure all students are receiving the education they deserve. Parents are sometimes tempted to be defensive when concerns are raised, but these are not a judgment. We all truly want what is best for your children--our students--here at SHS.
Finally, thank you for entrusting your children's education to us. It is an enormous responsibility and one that we take quite seriously. We are grateful for each and every family that makes up our Cardinals family. May God bless you abundantly in the new year.
