Christmas Program

I don't think we've ever had to present our program so late! We will hold our twice-postponed Christmas program on Thursday, January 13, at 1:45 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church.

Ed Clements Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

The annual Ed Clements Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, January 29th, at Sacred Heart Church in L'Anse, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars! We need all hands on deck to make this a success and ease the workload--many hands make light work, as the saying goes. Information will be sent home to all families on Monday. Thank you for all you do to support this great event.

Annual Jackpot Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets are now on sale! Please spread the word--we've had such a tremendous response to this fundraiser in previous years.

NOTE: You may turn in sold tickets and money at any time; you do not have to wait until you've sold the entire packet. And we always have extra tickets in the office if you need more!

From the Principal's Desk

Good day, all! It is so wonderful to have your children back in the building again. The break was wonderful for students and staff alike, but it's also good to return to a schedule and the comfort of a daily routine.

The first semester is coming to a close soon (January 21). This is an opportune time for teachers and parents to touch base with each other about any concerns, progress meeting goals, etc., not in an adversarial way but rather working together to help our students succeed. Please, if you have questions or concerns, reach out to your child's teacher. If the outcome is unsatisfactory, reach out to me. As I've said many times, I cannot address what I do not know about.

If your child's teacher reaches out to you with concerns, please take them in the spirit in which they are offered--in an attempt to collaborate to make sure all students are receiving the education they deserve. Parents are sometimes tempted to be defensive when concerns are raised, but these are not a judgment. We all truly want what is best for your children--our students--here at SHS.

Finally, thank you for entrusting your children's education to us. It is an enormous responsibility and one that we take quite seriously. We are grateful for each and every family that makes up our Cardinals family. May God bless you abundantly in the new year.
