SENIOR REMINDERS
Senior Exit procedure: Seniors are required to complete a Senior Exit Survey and Scholarship Report Survey (By May 15, 2023) in Naviance and complete a Final Senior Transcript (give in person to Ms. Fong by May 24, 2023). Survey instructions can be found in Naviance (hit the Read More button under Senior News).
Seniors who will attend a 4-year college in the fall must submit their Intent to Register, which includes a deposit, no later than May 1. CSU campuses are campus specific, please check websites.
SCHEDULED COLLEGE & MILITARY VISITS
Military Visits:
On Monday May 22nd during lunch the United State Navy will be meeting students in the Nighthawk Center and the United States Marines will be hosting a Pull-Up Bar challenge in the Quad.
College Visits:

SUMMER WORK PERMITS
Please note, that Del Norte will process work permits through the first couple days of June at at our school site. From the second week of June through the start of school, work permits will be processed at Poway Adult School, 13626 Twin Peaks Road. Please see the link for updated information.

Summer Virtual Internship
Unique Summer Virtual Internship Experience with students interested in gaining more experience in Genomics, the life sciences and biotechnology industries. It is a four, half-day, virtual experience where students will take a deep dive into the field of genomics, receiving training in professional skills, interact with industry experts and connect with like-minded high school students from across the state of California. ELEVENTH GRADERS - Rising 2023-2024 Seniors
Williams Fly-In Program Opportunity! Windows on Williams (WOW) application is now available for your rising seniors. The WOW fly-in program provides about 150 high-achieving seniors an all-expenses-paid opportunity to visit campus and experience the Williams community. WOW is a selective program open to rising seniors in the U.S. and Puerto Rico; preference is given to high-achieving students who couldn't otherwise afford to visit Williams.
WOW participants stay in dorms with current students, attend classes, meet with professors, and learn about our admission process and our extraordinary financial aid program.

A.I. SCHOLARSHS 2023
Social Science and Ethics - AI Summer Program by Stanford Alumni
Inspirit AI is a 25-hour project-based AI program that introduces middle/high school students to fundamental AI concepts to build impactful projects across disciplines such as arts and humanities. This year we are excited to announce new projects such as Chatbots for Education, AI for Disaster-Aid, Hate Speech Prevention, and more. The program is taught by Stanford, MIT mentors and no CS experience is necessary. Applications for Summer are due April 15th.

Scholarships for High School Juniors
$1,000 Environmental Science Scholarship
The Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County (RCDGSDC) invites local high school students to apply for our annual Jim Thompson Conservation Scholarship! The deadline to apply is Friday, May 5th at 11:59pm.
We will award up to seven scholarships of $1,000 each to senior students pursuing further education in the fields of resource conservation, environmental science, biology, sustainability, or agriculture. Eligible candidates must:
- Be a resident within the RCD of Greater San Diego County’s sphere of influence (see the application for a map).
- Have successfully completed three years of study at an accredited high school.
- Be nearing completion of their fourth year of high school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
- Expect, or have received, a “notice of intent” to enroll in undergraduate college courses related to resource conservation, agriculture, or biology.

To apply, candidates will need to provide the following documents:
- Acceptance Letter(s) from colleges/universities.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Unofficial photocopy of your high school transcript of grades.
- A one-page, 300 – 500-word essay.
- Information about your coursework and extracurricular activities.

Miramar Parent/Guardian Information Session (Spanish)
Hello from the Miramar Outreach & School Relations Office,
