MCS Transportation Department Receives Zero Deficiencies Report from ALSDE
Members of the MCS Transportation Department were recognized by the Morgan County Board of Education for their work that led to a zero deficiencies report during this year’s inspection of school buses by the ALSDE. This is the twelfth year in a row that MCS received a zero deficiencies report on a state-conducted inspection of its school buses.
Morgan County Board of Education Approves School Administrators
During their June 12, 2019 business meeting, the Morgan County Board of Education approved two school administrators. Mr. Robbie Elliott (top picture) will serve as the Principal of Albert P. Brewer High School. Mr. Shane Hopkins (bottom picture) will serve as the Assistant Principal of Priceville Junior High School.
MCBOE Recognizes Mr. Russell Haggard, West Morgan High School
During their June 12, 2019 business meeting, the Morgan County Board of Education recognized Mr. Russell Haggard, West Morgan High School student, for being selected Calhoun Community College’s “Most Outstanding Physics Student” for 2019.
MCS Bus Drivers Place in School Bus Safety Road-E-O
Congratulations to our Morgan County School system bus drivers who placed in the 2019 Alabama School Bus Safety Road-E-O competition. Mr. Jeremy Shaddix came in second place in the competition and Ms. Michelle Hogan placed in the Top 20. This year's competition held earlier in June took place at the Alabama Traffic Safety Center located on the campus of the University of Montevallo.
