What is ahead!

Wow, it is hard to believe that this is the end! It has gone so quickly in so many ways. I want to thank you for all your support during the school year: the hours of volunteering, sending in supplies and snacks and joining us as a guest speaker or chaparone. You are appreciated.

I want to stress to you the importance of having your child on some kind of a schedule for academic work on a daily basis. We want to prevent the summer slide. We do not want their skills to fall behind.

Monday: regular day, wrapping up testing, math activities etc. We will be making Chicken Soup and Rice and celebrate Cash's summer birthday. We have two books to read this week for our book club.

Tuesday: Camp Kindness starts. We will have an old fashion camp with songs, a campfire and talking about being kind to each other, to animals, nature etc. Your child may bring in a blanket or sleeping bag and pillow, no stuffed animals. We have turned in all library books so we can attend a movie in the FAB. In the afternoon we will have field day. I have Mr. Evans, Mr Able assisting at 1pm

Wednesday: We have Old Ben coming to speak to us about birds. We will do an art project when he leaves. Read, read, read as we have two books to finish this week.

Thursday is half day. The children will leave at 12 noon. We will read, compliment and have fun.

Sincerely,

Sharon
