Aaron & Meryl Are On A Mission...

Lighthouse Mission Trip June, 2014

What's Our Mission, You Ask?

This summer, Aaron and I will be spending a week serving at Lighthouse Family Retreat. Lighthouse serves families living through childhood cancer at seaside retreats, enabling them to laugh, restore family relationships and find hope in God. We have attached a video for you so you can see what our mission trip is all about!

Why Are We Doing This?

Aaron and I have always had servant lead hearts. But we have one person who has changed our lives and we feel compelled to go on this mission in honor of the memory of Nathan Haycraft. God called Nathan home on December 6th, 2011 after his 5 year battle with childhood cancer. Walking beside his family we saw how childhood cancer effects everyone. We saw how everything was turned upside with the treatments, the uncertainty and the fear. His mom and dad needed friendship and support and his brother and sister needed attention and unconditional love. Aaron and I want to pour into families just like the Haycrafts. We want to give families the chance to be a family and let all the worries, the fear and all the stress melt away and give them a week of normalcy. Where kids can be kids, mom’s can be mom’s, dad’s can be dad’s and God can be seen through our hands, our feet and our hearts, all the while, carrying the memory of Nathan with us.

How Can You Help?

We are asking for your support. We have set a goal to raise $2,000 and ask that you please consider making a donation to support our efforts to serve these families this summer. No amount is too small because the gesture behind your donation is huge! We thank you all for taking the time to read through this and support our mission. If you do want to make a donation please click on the link below.

Our Thanks To You!

Thank you for taking the time to read about our mission, and an even bigger thanks for your donation! Aaron and I appreciate each of you, and we know that the families of Lighthouse appreciate you as well.

With Blessed Hearts~ Aaron and Meryl Wondrasek
