Brief History of the country of Palestine
About 2000 years ago present day Israel was a Jewish state that was taken over by the Crusaders who did not like the Jews. Many years later, the Muslims invaded the area and they named the country Palestine. After World War 2, the Jewish Palestinians were prosecuted and allocated out of Palestine and into Trans-Jordan. After the Israeli war, Trans-Jordan became Jordan and the Palestinians moved back to Israel and present day West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The nation of Palestine was located on the east coast of Mediterranean Sea, located to the west of Jordan and south of Lebanon.
Homeland
The Palestinians original home is present day Israel. They lived there as early as 1517.
Language
In the past Palestine's main languages were Aramaic, Greek, Arabic, and Syriac. Now many Palestinians speak some of those language, but some also speak English and Modern Hebrew.
Conflict or violence
During WW2, the Palestinian Jews were prosecuted for their religion and their beliefs. They faced lots of hardships and because of that the country grew as a whole.
Movement for Independence
The Palestinian Declaration of Independence was approved by the PNC on November 15, 1988. The borders of Palestine are not specified, but Palestine includes the city of Jerusalem. By 1989, Palestine was recognized as an independent state.
Influential People
Yasser Arafat was the first president of Palestine in 1994. The second president, Mahmoud Abbas, who continued being president even during the Israeli shutdown.
Rights of Power
Palestinians have rights that are stated in their Declaration of independence. Some of their rights include freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of association, and freedom of religion.
Where Palestinians stand today
Many Palestinians live in the countries of Israel, Jordan, West Bank, and Gaza Strip. Palestine is no longer considered a country, now it is a territory. Palestinian refugees are still living in other countries like the USA and England. There are still problems in the Palestinian area and violence still occurs.
