SCHOOL COMMITTEE OPENS UP MORE RESEARCH ON SCHOOL START AND ENDING TIMES FOR 2020 - 2021
I will be presenting any findings I have that might lead to a better plan to the School Committee on November 20. These findings could potentially initiate a new plan being voted on by the School Committee that would be sent to the Association for potential approval. CTA Leadership has been consulted following this recent directive from the School Committee.
Your input is also important. I welcome the opportunity to talk with any staff member who has feedback or ideas regarding potential changes in school start and end times. The more information I can collect regarding this important change, the more informed the School Committee will be in making its final decision and recommendation to the CTA. Feel free to contact me if you have any ideas, concerns or questions.

Alice: What an idea. A crazy, mad, wonderful idea.

CAPITAL PROJECTS
The Special Town meeting this month approved three school capital projects:
- - Upgrading the Middle School Entrance.
- - Purchasing a 7D vehicle for student transportation.
- - Replacing the Middle / High School Auditorium Projector
The work is now underway to select the vendors for these projects and to get the work done. However, we can’t rest on our laurels as the process for selecting the capital projects to be voted on in the Spring Town Meeting is now underway. We started work on list this by touring each building to review the condition of the building and it’s major components, we have created a comprehensive list of items which are now prioritizing before we submit our requests to the Town Capital Committee.
If you have any comments or items you think should be added to the list, please contact mmacmillan@cohassetk12.org
