Brewster Weekly
2.26.21
We are here to do good things for our students, our coworkers, and our community.
We represent qualities such as caring, sharing, connection, integrity, and excellence.
Our culture mirrors those attributes. Let’s continue to make our school the best place to work and learn where everyone is inspired to be the best they can be. What we do, we do well.
Let’s keep the courage to shape a better future for our students.

Daily Screener is Supporting our Health and Wellness~ Thank YOU!
Each day your child is attending school, the daily screener needs to be completed before your child arrives at school. We greatly appreciate your proactive planning to have this done during your morning preparations for attending school. If your child is exhibiting symptoms, we ask that you complete the screener appropriately and follow up with a phone call to the school for support.
We will follow up on any illness and ask that you work with us to meet the needs of our community and school family by keeping kids home when they are ill. When calling the attendance line, please be specific on symptoms and/or diagnosed illness and note the day symptoms began. Our office or district team will follow up as necessary.
Our staff will continue to do all we can to keep kids and colleagues safe, but we need our community to remain diligent and help us to stay healthy and open for our kids. We appreciate your support.

TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS TO FILL OUT THIS FORM FOR KINDERGARTEN 21-22!
Welcome to Rochester Community Schools! Families with children who are eligible to enroll in transitional kindergarten or kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year are asked to complete an informational interest form to receive important notifications and updates from RCS.
The student interest form link can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf7F9Q9s5oRVjtSgM_u4jVvaZ16F3ZLtFOpTt5Rl2ijf3cZ0A/viewform.
Transitional kindergarten (TK) provides early childhood programming to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of young learners prior to entering kindergarten. Eligible students turn 5 years old between June 1 and December 1, 2021.
Kindergarten provides a safe, positive, loving environment with hands-on, play-based learning. Eligible students must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2021.
Please note that students currently enrolled in TK do not need to re-enroll in the district. They will be transitioned automatically to their home school for kindergarten in 2021-22.
Detailed information on both programs can be found on the RCS website!
