Invention Timeline Research Project

For this project, your job is to use your knowledge of timelines, and your knowledge of the inventions of the late 1800s to the early 1900s, to create a timeline of your own. You will be using Google Drawings to create a timeline. Follow the criteria below (each of the five parts of the project are worth 20 points):

I. Content: You must open up a Google Doc and title it "Invention Timeline Research." You must research 6 inventions from the late 1800s - early 1900s. Include Who, What and When! Your timeline should include at least 6 inventions and the information that you found about those inventions.

II. Mechanics: The timeline should include the year of each invention, the person, and the name of the invention, and should be placed in chronological order along the timeline. Remember to use the qualities of a good timeline that you pointed out in class (leave space between events, use the top and bottom of the line).

III. Creativity: You must include at least six images on your timeline. Use www.pixabay.com, www.flickr.com/commons, or http://www.morguefile.com/ to access royalty free images.

IV. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation: Be sure to use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Double check, triple check, and ask a neighbor to check!

V. Team Work: As always, our class is a team. Work together to stay on task, help each other out, participate in a positive manner, and share your work. Before you complete your project, ask your neighbor for feedback.
