Updated 3/24/2020
This Food Resource Guide has been updated to provide information on where to find food and other resources in Petaluma during the COVID-19 “shelter in place” order.
If you are hungry or need extra food for your family, here are some local resources. For other types of non-emergency assistance in Sonoma County, including where to get shelter, clothing, counseling, mental health aid, alcohol treatment, transportation, elder care, or job information, just dial 2-1-1, 24-hours a day. Please note that services provided change all the time. It is always best to call ahead to make sure the service you’re interested in is still provided!

Build a Tower Tuesday
Hello from Mrs. Derby
Hi friends. I sure do miss you! Although we are not able to open the library and lend books at this time, I wanted you to know that I’m here for you. If your family needs books recommendations, or you’re not sure how to navigate the many free literary website, please send me an email at aderby@petk12.org.
This week I’m recommending the website Story Time From Space. It’s so much fun! Books are sent to the International Space Station, and then while in space, astronauts are videotaping themselves reading these books to the children on Earth. Look under the tab “Story Time Videos.” Have fun! :)
I would also like to recommend the website Wide Open School. Wide Open School is a free collection of the online learning experiences for kids curated by the editors at Common Sense Media.
Don't forget: The Sonoma County Public Library is a great way to access many online resources including ebooks. If you do not have a library card, it's fast, easy, and FREE to create an eCard. eCards are temporary cards that can be created online. eCards can be used for borrowing and using electronic resources. These cards automatically expire after 120 days. eCard users can convert their eCard to a general library card by visiting a library and completing the steps above. Get an eCard now!
Math Activities to Play at Home
Plenty to focus on this week, but here are some wonderful math activities to ponder and play too!
