Science
This week we finished our first science unit. Students had a chance to explore biomimicry. Biomimicry is when inventors are inspired by nature. There are many examples of human creations whose inspiration came from clever plants, for example, hook and loop fasteners were inspired by the hooks that burrs use to attach to animal fur. Students also explored how seedlings are similar to their parent plant. We put all of our plant creations that we made during this unit into our class Museum of Leafology!
