Geography
Botswana has a total of 581, 730 square miles! The climate in Botswana is great! In the winter its warm and the summers are hot great for swimming in the Victoria fall! The Natural resources of Botswana are diamonds, copper, nickle, salt, soda ash, potash, coal, iron ore and silver. Some major land forms pf Botswana are the Okavango Delta, Tosodilo Hills and the Makgadikgadi Pans. The Okavango delta is the biggest inland delta on the planet! There they have a huge wildlife reserve. The Tosodilo Hills scrub 4,800 feet and are decorated with many beautiful paintings left by the San. The Makgadikgadi pans is filled with huge bodies of water. It used to belong to the Kalahari basin but is now left with lovely bodies of water
desertification is a main problem in Botswana. Desertification is the proces in which land becomes more like a dessert and is result of a drought. Right now the Okavango Delta is what people are reliying on now. It is affecting livestock farming, fishing crop cultivation and hunting. People have even started to move. Destification is going to spread even worse over years in Botswana. So you should visit it now!

Other than English, Setswana is the main language of Botswanna. Even though are over many different ethnic groups they really only fall into 2 groups the Bantu and Khoisan. Botswana's native's beliefs are based around worship of a supreme power. People also believe in the spirits and ancestors, they take a huge part in there lives. Music is also a big part of there lives. Tswana is a type of folk music based around drums and dancing. They have been influenced by the Christianity religion so they celebrate thing such as good Friday, ash Wednesday, Easter and so on. They also have an independence day called Botswana day.

Government
The government of Botswana is a parliamentary republic. The current leader is President Seretse Khama (since April 1st 2008). The government is set up so that is has Legislative branch, Judaical branch, and an Executive branch. There is also a chief of state head of government who is also the president of Botswana.
Economics
Most people in Botswana still are hunting and gathering. Many industries are in the topic of mining. Finding gems and diamonds has lead mining to be a success.
