Low clouds

  • occur as general overcast often widespread & are associated of somber skies & drizzly rain

  • stratus stratocumulus, stratonobius- rain clouds

  • low bases but reaches of 15 km

  • indicates very active vertical movement in the air

  • cumulus and cumolonimlos----->storms clounds
