BTES Staff Updates
June 14, 2020
Monday - Drop-Off / Pick-Up Day
Weather looks nice for Monday so we are planning to set up outside by the green canopy. If you are parking in the staff parking lot please do not take any of the bus parking spots. If you plan on helping out on Monday the following rules need to be followed:
- Social distancing is a must.
- Masks must be worn when you are near people.
- I will have gloves for anyone that wants them.
- Each classroom will have a specific outside location. Classes will be labeled and you are more than welcome to stay by your classroom and help out if you wish.
- Thanks.
FYI - Items in the bags
- Yearbooks
- Stokes shirts
- Dare shirts / certificates
- CR shirts for 6th grade
- BTEA Pride - will be donating gift cards to all 6th grade students for local restaurants - Mrs. Palagonia will be handing out tomorrow.
Tuesday - Virtual Promotion Ceremony Shared
The sixth grade promotion ceremony will be shared with sixth grade staff members Monday evening. I am hoping you can take a look at your section and let me know if everything is good to go. Thanks for all the vidoes, pictures, and quotes - they really helped out.
I anticipate sending out the final version on Tuesday. I will notify all parents via text when I share it in the students Drive. Parents can only view the video if they are in their students Drive. It was done this way to best ensure student safety concerns and privacy issues .
Wednesday's Farewell at 4:30
I will be sending out more information about the farewell on Tuesday, but this is where we are at today.
- Staff should park in the Berkeley Recreation Building - no parking in staff parking lot or front of the building.
- When we are standing and waving goodbye, please be mindful of keeping your distance from your colleagues and families. No families should be getting out of the cars.
- Traffic must keep moving to ensure we get this done.
- We will be taking a picture, giving them a BTES magnet for their car, and the PTA has some sweet treats as the leave the parking lot for them to enjoy.
- Weather looks good as of now. Time will tell.
