The Hoot Owl Special Edition

Hello Oak Ridge Families,

Several questions have come up lately and I will try to answer them in this newsletter so that everyone has all the answers. I know there are a lot of questions like "what will we do with" and "how do we..." and honestly, right now we don't have the answers. Please know that we are working on the plans as quickly as possible and will send them to families as soon as we have the answers.

Until then, I want to encourage you to continue helping your children with their work and sending in assignments to the teachers. Learning is important and should be continued in order for Owl to continue to make learning progress this year.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or contact us at

We are looking for several parents who will volunteer to help us with our PTO next school year. You can serve as an officer, a board member at large, or just as a volunteer to help with different activities throughout the year. Whether you have 2 extra hours for the year or 10 a week, we can use you!

Our PTO fundraisers support a variety of things. Field trips for all students, playground equipment, upkeep of the garden, technology and much more.

If you choose to run for a board officer, you will need to be able to attend the board meetings which are scheduled yearly based on the availability of the board members for that year.

If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else, please make sure that person knows you are nominating them. Follow the link below and submit the form.
